What does hope look like? And what makes us strong?
Explore Sparks in the Dark and look closely at the colours, symbols and intricate embroidery created by women in Afghanistan. Then proceed to the Education Centre to talk about what hope and strength mean to you.
Inspired by the thread and sewing in the exhibition, families will use popstick weaving to create their own Patchwork of Hope. Children can write a personal message of hope and reflect on a strength they have within themselves, creating something meaningful to take home.
